With its warm, rustic ambiance, it is a crowd favorite for a lot of families seeking a All-American dining experience that isn’t too expensive. This is a zero amenity, minimally convenient hotel.If you enjoy big servings of classic American comfort food in a unique atmosphere with more bear photography and art than you’ve ever seen there’s no better destination than Black Bear Diner. If you are someone who spends a lot of time in the room, or you are planning an extended stay, I would really look elsewhere. Bottom line is this place will be fine if you don't spend a lot of time in your room. I don't know why they decided hotel guests don't need ice, but they did.

The TV is hilariously small for these days, maybe it worked in the 90's. Its really noticeable in some rooms, with furniture actually broken or breaking.

If you're planning a gambling trip I do not recommend coming on weeknights. The casino entirely shuts down super early on weeknights. If you're there for more than a couple days, that becomes a problem. Negatives: There is no housekeeping during your stay. Nice view if you get on the upper floors. This is also one of the few casinos in the area states that still operates a buffet. Hotel rates in Duluth will make you vomit. Positives: This is a good place to stay if you're in the Duluth area and need a base to operate from.

The prices they charge now are way too sky high for what the rooms actually they renovate the place I'm sure they'll double or more the rates to get in line with other modern casinos.
